Testing my flash and drinking some booze. There was more drinking than flash testing to be honest although I learned what I needed: A Canon 277T Speedlight can be rewired to trigger from an Olympus E500 and you can adjust the level of flash in f.stops. Using the flash on the highest (400) iso setting causes the flash to give out less light for obvious reasons and using it on the lowest (25) iso setting gives out more light. Good to know.

A gig in Shipley featuring John Froud. John and his guitar used to come to Nab Wood Middle School and sing humourous yet painfully repetative christian themed songs which we were forced to join in with. He looks a bit like a tubby Jesus. No wonder I never embraced religion.

I didn’t even want to go to religious assembly but it was that or become muslim and they wouldn’t let me go to muslim assembly for what ever twisted reason they had. For a matter of fact, how did a Church of England school end up having muslim assemblies anyway? Shouldn’t it be christian of nothing? It’s political correctness gone mad again.

Super foggy today from about 4:00am to just before lunch. It’s not unusual that I can’t see the market tower from my bedroom, but today I couldn’t even see the bottom of my road.

Here are two photographs I took up at Northcliffe. I’ve been pleased with the grain that my E500 produces - while not as natural as film in my opinion the effect is a good one. Due to the low saturation a combination of ISO 400 (I’m sure I shot it at 800.. hmmm) and the fog produced, and based on what I’ve seen before with this camera, black and white photography seems to look a lot nicer with the grain from the E500.
